Supporting Those Who Serve: Armed Forces Day 2026

Last updated: June 25, 2026

Armed Forces Day, taking place on 27 June, is a chance to recognise the remarkable people behind the uniform – from those currently serving to veterans, reservists and their families. It is also a timely reminder of the unique challenges they face, and how businesses and communities can offer meaningful, practical support.

At Bridger’s Law, supporting the Armed Forces community is something we are proud to do all year round, helping service personnel and their families navigate important life decisions with clarity and confidence.

For many in the Armed Forces, buying a home or planning ahead can be more complex due to the nature of service life. One way we support clients is by assisting those using the Forces Help to Buy (FHTB) scheme, which enables eligible service personnel to borrow up to 50% of their salary (capped at £25,000) interest-free towards purchasing a property. For many, this has opened the door to home ownership, providing a place to call their own and something to return to after time spent away.

We understand that military life often comes with added challenges, from deployments to overseas postings. That’s why we use flexible, secure digital systems that allow much of the process to be handled remotely. Clients can upload documents, complete forms online, and benefit from quick and secure electronic ID and AML checks. We stay connected through phone, email and video calls, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience wherever they are in the world.

This approach allows us to support clients in even the most unique situations – including obtaining authority to exchange contracts from a submariner stationed 200 feet below sea level.

As a small thank you for the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces, we are proud to offer dedicated support alongside discounted services, including:

  • £100 + VAT off our conveyancing fees
  • Simple Will – £200 + VAT (usually £250 + VAT)
  • Lasting Power of Attorney (Health & Welfare or Property & Finance) – £400 + VAT each (usually £450 + VAT)
  • Will and LPA package – £900 + VAT (usually £1,000 + VAT)

Together, these discounts are a small way of providing both practical support and added peace of mind.

If you are part of the Armed Forces community, you can find full details of our support and discounts on our website.

This Armed Forces Day, we extend our thanks to all those who serve – past and present – and to the families who support them every step of the way.
